Insomnia returns......

Arghhhhhhhh,

I went to bed over 2 hours ago, lay there not being able to sleep so decided to get up and I still feel totally wide awake!

I dunno what's up with me. I had an entire day off on Sunday after the big win, went for lunch at spoons with Jen and then watched the american football. Today I did nothing in the day at all, didn't wake up til 2pm which could explain why I'm so awake.

All I did was played footie at 9pm, we lost 5-3 but it was our best performance of the season, I got my first goal of the season after 6 games! good goal as well, nice half volley, also made the second goal. From my winnings on Saturday I've decided to treat the team to a new kit, aren't I good! But to keep in the tradition of forgetting stuff I managed to leave my wallet at home so couldn't pay for footie and then couldn't pay for drinks at the quiz afterwards, quite embarrassing really.

Eugene was on top form tonight at the quiz, for some reason he told me he's going to remove my penis, I'm not sure what happened there. He doesn't like us having fun at the quiz, we changed our team name tonight and he still read out the old name.

We would have won had Aaron and I got there on time but footie kicked off late so we missed the general knowledge round, Chris showed us the ones they missed and I knew enough that we would have won, but we came 4th in a clever people quiz so we're happy.

I tried to play some poker tournaments tonight, waste of time and money, since my big win I've ran so so badly, played a $100 tournament and lost JJ v A8 AA v KQ and AJ v A8! Managed to final table bubble a $55 tournament by running 2nd nut flush into nut flush and then TT into QQ in consecutive hands!

Lost around $150 on the night which isn't a disaster but being a perfectionist I wanna win money every night.

I've taken on a silly bet with a friend, originally the bet would be that I couldn't win 7 multi tournaments with 100+ runners in a week but I thought that was pretty impossible so the bet is that I can play 700 of my fifty 50 games in a week (no problem, I can do 200 a day) AND maintain a 10% roi. This will not be easy at all as the games are harder than they used to be but I'm gonna give it a crack and will put daily updates on games played, profit and ROI.

Originally the bet was meant to start on Monday but seeing as I didn't play any games yesterday I'm sure he won't mind if it starts on Tuesday.

Don't think I've got much more to add right now, if you read my blog and feel like you wanna comment on it then please do so, I'm also after more twitter followers @JazzyJon so if you know anyone who might wanna follow me then give them the details. I crave attention!!!

Goodnight (hopefully) all.

Biggest ever online win!

Wow, what a week I've had,

It's just been absolutely incredible, you all saw Wednesday night's result. On Thursday night I won two more multis, a $16.50 150 runner game and then a 67 runner $22 game, both for around $500 but the best was yet to come.

Saturday afternoon I was playing some 50-50s when a friend pointed out there was a massive tournament running, still in late reg so I thought I'd play it, over 5,000 players in it $27 bounty tournament so for everyone you knock out the game you get an extra $5.

Seeing as I was playing this I decided I'd play a whole host of other tournaments too.

I doubled early in the game and then had AQ on an A Q 9 flop, The guy bet, I raised, he went all in and I called, he had 99 but I hit an Ace on turn to take the pot and be off to a fantastic start if maybe slightly lucky.

I kept on slowly but surely not really noticing many hands as playing so many other games but saw many other games fall by the wayside. I noticed I was on around 30,000 chips so things must have been going well and soon I was up to 90,000 which had me in the top 20 of about 500 left from 5,157 players which was pretty incredible but still a massively long way to go.

I then took quite a big hit and was down to 40,000 but took some blinds pre, then raised with AT, 3 callers, flop was T high so I bet out, two of them called, turn was an Ace so I bet again but they all fold but it got me back to around the 90,000 mark. All other tournaments were now pretty much dead so I decided it made sense to just focus on this one.

I kept raising, and taking the pots pre flop. I don't really remember too many hands from there but I was up to over 300k, I can't remember getting lucky at this point at all, one hand I remembered was raising from SB with 96o, flop was 9 6 4 and my opponent went all in with 34o which helped.

Next hand I remember was being in the SB and the cut off made it 15k to play, he seemed to like raising from there so I pumped it up to 40k expecting him to fold, I had A8s. flop was J 9 2 with no spades and I bet out 42k, fortunately he folded in a flash and was cruising.

I then raised from UTG with JTs and same guy made a tiny re raise which kept me in the hand, flop was T 8 4, he bet straight out from SB so I shoved, he had KK but the river was a Jack and my 2nd bit of luck took me over 500k. He was fairly short so wouldn't have killed me to lose but would have hurt.

I kept taking pots down and also reshoved people pre a bit. one hand I had AA and raised, and got re raised, I just went all in though and the guy folded which was disappointing,

Another hand I recall was having K9 and raising. I was re raised but that wasn't uncommon, flop was 9 4 5 and the guy bet out, I shoved all in and again he folded and I'm sitting pretty. I then had my first hit in a while, raised with 88, smallish stack went all in so I had to call, he had 99 and held but it only put me just under 1,000,000 so was fine.

I then raised with JJ and the BB who I'd outplayed a few times went all in with 77, I called and held and was sitting on 1.4m with 18 players left.

Things got a bit trickier from here, I had a very aggressive german player two to my right raising every pot, he folded one hand and I raised with KQ, again the SB re raised me, they seemed to love doing that, flop was K 5 4 with two hearts, he bet out so I shoved and he folded and I think I was touching 2,000,000 at this point.

I then lost a few pots, there was a Bulgarian who liked to re raise me and the aggressive German took quite a bit off me in a few pots and was down to around 1.5m with about 12 left.

Then I had AA again and made the same raise I always made, the very aggressive Bulgarian raised me to about 300k. I thought about what to do and just went all in. I couldn't believe it when he instacalled with AJo and I held and was now chip leader on 3.2m.

I tried to take more chips pre but often found myself re raised and was craving the final table, we were on the bubble for a while, on the other table a 3 way all in resulted in both shorties surviving although one was very small then on our table the aggressive Bulgarian went all in for 1.4m from SB. the BB called with KK and the Bulgarian won with A4o to burst the bubble and put us on the final table.

The short guy went out soon after and we were down to 8. Nothing much happened for a while here, everyone's raises were getting through, it seemed noone wanted to go out in 8th and there was very little action.

Then an Irish guy went all in for about 1,200,000 chips. I had AK and called from the SB, he had AQ but the queen hit on the turn leaving me under 2m chips and pretty upset, the next hand he raised and I shoved all in with AQ and he folded.

From here on I stayed pretty much out the way, had no hands but would pick up blinds now and then. Two people then went out fairly quickly. I tried to open up a deal discussion with 6 players left but two of the players weren't interested at all so we played on. Again I just stayed out t he way, didn't have many hands but took the blinds as and when and then raised 89s from SB, BB called, flop was T 9 6 and knowing how he played I check raised him all in and he folded.

We then lost the German who was adamant he wouldn't deal and the short stacked british guy went out and the four of us left agreed to discuss a deal.

I only had 2m at this stage and they all had a lot more than me. The prizes as they stood were
1st $16,500
2nd $12,500
3rd $8,500
4th $5,800

When the numbers were discussed I was offered $8,400. I was exhausted, we'd been playing for 11 hours and chanced are I was gonna come 3rd or 4th so I took the deal, although I asked the other 3 to all throw in $200 to give me $9,000 but they declined. cheeky gits.

We played on for the remaining bounties and the leaderboard points. Had I won I'd have been 5th on the entire site in tournaments this week, but I ended up 3rd losing K9 v Q6o and am 42nd in the TLB but you need to win it anyway to get anything so unless I hammer it today (which I won't) I won't get any bonus there.

I feel I played the best I've ever played in this tourney, I know I got lucky twice but they were pretty standard hands and that AK v AQ probably cost me about $2,500 in that deal so I can't complain too much.

Now I have to debate whether to stick with the 50 50s or play more tournaments, the FPPS and VPPS from tourneys is pretty negligible so would have to rely solely on profit but as seen I can get these massive spikes which would be the same as a full month of grinding the 50 50s. Gonna try and mix them up I guess.

Hope you all read all the way, my life has been dull this week so not done anything of note. I think I've earned today off, what do you think?

Oh I got 12 bounties so got an extra $60 woo.

Boom! Big tourney win!

Wasn't gonna update but I've just had a really good result so I thought I'd post about it.

This doesn't include any interesting life stories so people like Aimie (Who I thought it was absolutely lovely to see this weekend!!) Happy now, should read no further! heh

Got home from pub, watched fresh meat and then got into the poker. Regged for a load of tourneys as well as my 50 50s

I won a $15 45 man game for $200 but then lost most other tourneys so was around even but up about $450 from my 50 50s.

Then had final 4 games going, one of them I had a massive stack but managed to run Jacks into Kings to just miss out on cashing. lost the other two as well so just had one left a 1050 runner tourney costing $11 to play. Not sure how but I had a decent stack already, when playing so many tourneys you don't tend to notice how you accumulate chips.

Kept on playing it nice and steady but it was a turbo so was raising quite regularly, I remember being up to about 60k after winning a big flip with JJ v AQ and then the SB shoved my BB when I had AQ, I instacalled, he had K4, Ace flopped and I was chip leader.

Kept raising a lot and had a really decent chip lead. Then raised 88 with about 20 players left when I had over 220k and the K4 guy shoved for 70k. I had to call and he had Tens and held and that was my first real hit of the night but it wasn't terminal and I just kept raising and picking up blinds and was soon back in command. 15 players left and I had 99 and shoved from the button, SB called AQ, flop was 9 7 4 leaving him drawing dead which never happens and I was back to a decent chip lead. A few players got talking to me and seemed interested in me going for SNE next year so might even have some new followers on my blog and twitter.

Kept raising, started feeling a bit of resistance, then got AA twice in about 10 hands and both times just got the blinds. we were down to 10 pretty quickly, I was in 2nd with one big stack on other table who had about double my stack but I was able to take a few blinds but then there were two all ins called, one on each table and shorties lost both putting us straight to an 8 seater final table.

Table was pretty weak and most raises were getting through, again AA got no action. We got down to 5 players pretty quickly and me and two others wanted to discuss a deal as chip stacks were all pretty even and we'd have probably ended up with around $1,100 each which would have been superb. But we couldn't get a response from either of the other two. Then the brit went out with 22 v KQ and one of the guys who wouldn't deal lost with AJ v A8 against the other one, and that's when he finally decided to talk and whinge.

I'd gotten up to chip lead by taking pots pre but shoved A8 from SB and BB had AT and held putting me back in trouble, 3 handed stacks were about 1m, 600k and me on about 300k.

Big stack raised from SB and I shoved with KTs from BB, He snap called QQ but K hit and suddenly we're all pretty even.

Same guy then picks up a few pots to take chip lead again, he raises me and I shove again, this time with QTo. He calls with A5 which I think is a pretty bad call, I hit trip tens and suddenly I have a very big chip lead.

The other two soon clash, AJ v A8 again and again the crazy guy wins with A8. I'm annoyed at this as the AJ guy would have dealt heads up but instead I take him out next hand and we're down to just two.

pretty even stacked but I know I'm far better than this other guy, few raises and folds. Then I hit straight with 67 on A 8 9 T 3 board, I bet the river and he raises me, there are 3 diamonds out there so I just call and he shows T3. I coulda got them all but I was being a bit too cautious and then two hands later I raise and he goes all in, I call with KJ but he has AQ and holds so we're back level.

I then come to life and really start hammering him pre and post flop and get him down to about 400k v my 1.5m. He raises, I shove with 44 and he calls AQ, it comes 8 9 7 7 T and I'M THE CHAMPION!!

That feeling of winning a multi is so incredible! lasts for ages and gives me such a buzz. Was a $2,000 pick up and really feel like I played very well all day today!

Sorry to bore all you non poker people with this but it is a poker blog after all!

Thanks to those who stayed up to watch me!

London Baby!!

Hello to all 3 of you who read this.

So sorry I haven't updated in a few days but I couldn't be arsed.

This post will have elements of my life, elements of poker and elements of sports betting so please feel free to skip the bits you're not interested in. If you're not interested in any of those three things then what the fuck are you doing on my blog?!

Firsty life......

Went to London on Sunday with my dad to watch the American football, the Bears were playing in London so we were very very excited. Got to see Robbie and Aimie for lunch too which was good, and little woody (their son). So we went off to the game and it was awesome being there, I tried to video my fave player scoring a touchdown but he didn't have a very good game sadly.

After the game we had food then went back to the hotel, all I can say is never ever ever share a hotel room with my dad, he farts all night long and it sounds like he's shitting himself and then he snores all night long too. I feel very sorry for his wife.

Monday came back on the train first class but was sooooooooo bored all the way home, I hate train journeys on my own (dad stayed in London for work) Did finish some crosswords though so felt clever.

Footie on Monday night was bad, we lost 8-2 but it was our best performance of the season and some really good link up play so there are positives to take! Went straight to the quiz, this week I made sure I took a pair of shoes this week but managed to forget my jeans so had to go home and change anyway. We came 4th, should have won but the music round was totally shit.

Yesterday did Farmers quiz, came 2nd but had a fun argument, it's amazing how much Yasmin Le Bon looked like Colleen McGloughlin, I told Jen it was Yasmin but she didn't believe me, eventually she trusted me and we were right!

Going the railway again tonight to get pished! yay! can't wait, btw, anyone gonna admit to the previous comment about the railway?!

Ok, poker.....

Obviously barely played last week cos been ill which is a major setback and something I will need to consider before SNE attack next year, started playing solidly again when I got back on Monday and I have to say I've been playing really well, I've made about $1000 from my usual 50 50 games in 2 days and also done well in some multis.

Anyone following me on twitter would know I came 3rd of 450 yesterday, really disappointed not to win it as the other two players were pretty shit but I lost two 50 50s 3 handed and had I won either I win the tourney. Was a nice $700 pick up though so I can't complain too much.

I think I've found the way forward, I'm gonna stack 12 of my usual 50 50 games and play them slightly less aggressively, I'll still keep getting paid out on hands but I won't stack off with 73o anymore. Alongside this I'll have about 5-15 multis in a separate stack, including the 45 and 180 man sng tourneys, The only problem with this is when I go deep in a big tourney I tend to stop wanting to play the 50 50s but I like to concentrate then.

Means I'll be making less fpps for now and less in bonuses but hopefully should be making more profit.

And sports betting ......

Been spread betting lately, it's pretty exciting but can be highly dangerous, I lost quite a bit on Liverpool being shit on Saturday, I should know better than to bet on that pile of shite. Sunday though, was incredible!

I bought goals across the premiership games and there were 18 of them in 5 games which was excellent, I also bought goal minutes in the Manchester derby, 3 last minute goals were all worth £45 eachgs in that game, it was great. Then had some good NFL bets and then backed Oaklands performance for £2.50 a point at 59. Means for every pt it comes in over 59 I make £2.50 and for every point under 59 I lose £2.50. They lost the game 28-0 and threw 6 interceptions so it came in at -60!!! So i lost about £300 on that game and thought right bollocks to spread betting. Then decided to buy loads of stuff relating to New Orlenas saints in the 1am game. They won 62-7 and won me a shed load of cash which I duly withdrew except for some which I duly spunked on Baltimore being utterly garbage!!

So that's everything over the past few days, in summary, I've had fun, poker has gone quite well and I've made some money betting on american football.

In fact, that should have been the whole blog. oh well.

Things to do in the day besides poker......

I'm still not feeling up to playing poker cos of this cold but hopefully should be back to the grind tomorrow.

Been trying to find exciting things to do to pass the time, today I have mostly been betting on ridiculous things I can find.

I started with Brisbane Roar vs Gold Coast United. That's football from Australia, Brisbane won 3-0 so that was a good start.

I then found some womens tennis and bet on there being lots of games in the game and the outsider winning cos she was pretty hot (Dominiki Cubiklova) Google her gents, women ignore this part.

She won after some very unsportmanlike behaviour but it took three sets so I won on that.

Then been betting on some horses and had some winners, then I'd backed a horse in another race and it fell at the first but the site I bet on hadn't suspended the market yet and I managed to lay my bet off with the horsey down! genius.

Nearly 3pm which is when TV gets good, Goldenballs, Bullseye, the chase and then big bang theory.

I really need to get playing poker again. This is such a boring existence.

Add me on twitter. @JazzyJon or something

Attacked with the man flu stick

That's not a euphemism, sadly I've been ill all week,

I noticed it on Monday at footie and woke up Tuesday feeling utterly garbage, it's just a bad cold really but it's bloody annoying as can't concentrate for long enough to play poker and to be honest would rather be lying on the couch.

This leads me to my next point - Daytime TV sucks!! I know I'm always at home but I never really watch the daytime telly, it's just background noise whilst I'm playing poker but now I'm lying on the couch just watching the telly. Jeremy Kyle is good for a laugh though I guess.

So what else has happened since my last blog on Monday. Nothing. I played some games yesterday, didn't fancy the normal so played some sit and go tournaments, started well but then ran silly bad so gave up. when I do play I'm just gonna play 6 of my 50 50 games tiled and it seems to be working, made $350 from the 12 I've played so far did run super hot my last set.

beat KK 3 times with AT A7 and AK and then QQ with A9 and 99 also with A9 and then AK with K5o. I did lose JJ v A8 but I guess I deserved that.

Was nice to finally run good again, will play again in a bit and hope it continues but just so you all know, I played every hand there perfectly, just got a bit lucky.

oh, won two quizzes this week, Tuesday at the Farmers by 3 pts despite writing down GOLF when the answer was GOLD! Brain must have melted.

Then we won the railway quiz by a mile last night and we barely cheated!! I think woulda won without cheating but it's always nice to win by about 10 pts!

Today will mostly be spent eating soup and feeling sorry for myself, anyone who wants to send me love and cuddles it would be appreciated.

Oh, Dev has moved back home. yay.

Saw Drew and Dave this week for first time in ages which was also cool, had a few pints and a cigar and a good chat with them and somehow didn't have to buy any of my drinks, felt like the world had been turned on it's head.

Oh finally, I think I need to use twitter, someone explain to me why it's so awesome and help me get good at it?

Off to watch repeats of friends and then some programme with antiques in.

A life outside of poker

Next year I'll be going for supernova elite as mentioned previously and as most of you will know. Many people have said to me that you can only do this by having absolutely no life but I'm determined to prove that this isn't the case, so instead of a poker update we'll have a social life update today.

Saturday went shopping with Karen and Jen to get me some new clothes. They made me try everything on which really annoyed me cos I just like to pick stuff and buy it but we had a really good time and I managed to get loads of good stuff and only spend about £200.

Wore some of my new clothes out Saturday night, everyone commented on how good I was looking which was nice and we went to town and got smashed in reflex. Was a really good night and was a much needed break.

Sunday I was hungover all day so didn't bother playing as decided it was probably a bad idea, I just watched the american football and went to bed at 11!

Just played 5-a-side and then done the quiz. Because of the timings I have to go straight from footie to the quiz so get changed after footie. Tonight I opened my bag and realised I'd packed two left footed trainers from two different pairs! So had to wear my football boots to the quiz!

Lost badly at both but enjoyed it.

Am gonna get back to poker now, probably play some tournaments tonight whilst watching the Monday night NFL and hopefully will have some happy updates for the morning.

One final thing. Someone has been anonymously posting some rather nasty comments on here. Doesn't bother me as I'll be deleting them all as soon as I notice them and they're from someone clearly very jealous that I made $15,000 in September. They don't get how hard I had to work for that but whatever. If you don't wanna read my blog, then don't. If you wanna insult me then I'm sure you can do it in person or on the phone and I'll gladly answer any of your questions then. But cowardly anonymous posts?! Really?!

I shan't touch on that matter again in here anyway as this is a happy blog full of rainbows and sunshines.

Oh, fun website of the day, google 'I love every kind of cat' Very catchy song!

Absolute nightmare day

Been running so horrendously all day, about 50k chips below ev in the fifty 50 games.

For those who don't really know poker it means I've lost over 50,000 chips in games that I should have won but got unlucky,

Thought I'd try some multis to end the day with, went very deep in 4 only to suffer ridiculous beats in them all, A6 v A3, AJ v KJ then KT v K3, A4 v 45 on A 5 4 flop then JJ into same guys KK, and A7 v 56 on 7 4 2 flop for 8 river.

It's so demoralising when I'm running like this cos I really feel like I'm playing some great poker but I'm only doing well in the $30 games and getting outdrawn in the $60s and $100s.

Been quite a painful day both emotionally and financially so gonna take the weekend off and hopefully come back better for the rest. plus getting pissed Saturday night so Sunday will probably be lost to a hangover.

6:45am now and too annoyed to sleep so watching the liver birds on ukgold. Nerys Hughes was quite fit 40 years ago. The other girl annoys me.

Not a lot else to say right now, going shopping on Saturday cos apparently I need new clothes!

The most annoying FAQs about being a professional poker player

Well the last 24 hours or so have been a bit rubbish at poker. I've broken even but I've been running really badly so instead of boring you all with that I thought I'd list some of the things that annoy me when people know I play poker for a living.

If you've asked me one of these questions chances are I've smiled and answered politely whilst inside I've wanted to kill you.

Q. How long have you been a professional gambler?

A. Poker is not gambling, It's a game of skill with elements of luck. If it was a game of luck I wouldn't have made consistent profit for 7 years now!

Q. (On hearing that I'd made $x last month) Yeah, but how much did you have to put in to win that?

A. I only talk in profit, I actually win hundreds of thousands every month but I pay out hundreds of thousands every month to play.

Q. Why don't you get a real job?

A. Because I am my own boss, I answer to noone and to have a job making as much as I do at poker I'd need to get a doctrate, move to London and work 80 hours a week.

Q. What would you do with a pair of Tens.

A. The two cards you have in your hand or about one tenth of the story of the hand, I'd need to know all the other factors and the players you're playing against.

Q. What's the most you've won in one game/day?

A. Do I ask you what the most you've made in one month of work is? I don't actually mind answering these questions because I'm so proud of my poker but if you ask this I should be allowed to know all about your wages.

Q. If I give you £300 can you win me some money please?

A. No. I'd rather win money for me, do I ask for a share of your wages each month?

Q. Can you teach me how to play?

A. Yes I could but I don't have time to and don't really want to. Sorry.

Q. So you play poker professionally? I play with my friends once a month in a £5 game.

A. And what?! It's almost the same level isn't it? I wonder if Wayne Rooney wants to hear about my five a side team?

Q. Just be careful.

A. Careful of what?! I know what I'm doing here, I've been doing it for 7 years.

Now I realise the above sounds like I've developed a massive attitude problem, which I have. But it's meant to be a bit tongue in cheek.

Most of you know that I do love talking about poker especially when people seem genuinely interested but it can get old answering the same questions all the time.

Hopefully will post again tomorrow with some nice success stories. Bit frustrated as only slightly in profit for the past week.

Back to sets of 30 games

Right, I'm back on the 30 games at once trail. First set was an absolute nightmare, got outdrawn every single hand but played fine, lost $200 on that one.

Second set looked pretty decent and than I managed to lose AA v A5 for a 5k pot in a $100 game so I went a bit mental. raise raise raise raise raise. Was proper crazy but it worked and I got out the set even when it looked like being huge losses.

Thought I'd give it a go like that in third set so played hyper aggressive when blinds got big, was shoving light, re shoving light, raising any unopened pots. I only cashed 12/30 games in this set but of those 12 I won 8 of them and made $350 profit on the set.

Slightly up on the day so far. Got footie tonight and then the quiz at the railway so nice relaxing evening before I get back to hammering the poker when I get in tonight. Looking forward to it!

Phase89 is still trying to make profit at these games whilst playing over 12,000 of them in a month. I know one of my followers has put $6000 on him failing and any one else with spare cash should bet against him too. He is not good enough at these games he just ran incredibly well and now thinks he's god of the games.

In my last set I noticed one of the tighter players re raising me quite a bit so started playing back at him but he had AQ and AK when I did that so he's still playing tight, he just ran hot against me so nothing to worry about there.

Really enjoyed the last set I played, feels good to be enjoying the poker again!

Day 2. Interesting for once.

Well after the earlier disaster I decided to just play in some tournaments this afternoon.

Please a couple of sats and won a seat for the $215 entry sunday warm up. Would have won a 2nd seat but lost JJ v 77 in the sat and went on to bubble which was pretty horrible.

Most of the multis were pretty uneventful but I did really well in a 629 runner $27 knock out multi. I took 9 players out which more than covered buy in and made it all the way to the final table.

Did nothing really once there and when we got down to last 4 I tried to broker a deal but I was playing with 3 of the biggest idiots alive who seemed totally incapable of working out a deal so we played on and instead of dealing for $1,400 I ended up just on $900.

Still a good cash. Other games didn't go well. I built up a decent stack in the $215 entry and then raised with Ad9d flop was K 8 7 with two diamonds and I checked, pretty aggro player bet out so I went all in, he tanked and called with 99 and held. This left me very short and I ended up going out soon after with KQ v 88. Still was a free entry so can't complain too much.

ended up about $600 up on the session but lost $450ish earlier, here's current rolls.

$5,400 17,164 fpps and 1883 vpps

Very angry.....

Just had a set where I couldn't have ran any worse.

I must have lost to about 8 three outers at least, probably more, but every time I called with mid ace in blinds and opponent had two joke cards they would always hit.

Lost $450 on the set and only played about 20-25 games.

Gonna give it a break now. Won't put overall results for the day up yet cos will be playing later and hopefully getting a bit back.

Least I have the american football to look forward to in just 3 hours.

First day results

Well, some people, possibly sarcastically, have requested updates on all stats for every day. If I do this at midnight every day it'll be easier so here we go.

50 of my normal games played today, made $90 profit but in my last set I lost AA v 99, AA v 88, 55 v 44, KQ v K3, 88 v K3 and a few others so not a bad outcome.

Made $250 on the few multis I played today so $346 profit on day one of the new month. Earned just 1000 vpps. I normally earn about 3,500 a day but obviously taken it easy first day back on it.

No pizzas eaten today, did however take Jen out for a Greek meal to celebrate our anniversary even though it was 2 weeks ago.

Feel like I've played pretty well today though so shouldn't be too upset just had an absolute nightmare on my sports betting today, hopefully tomorrow's NFL will be much better!

Gonna watch telly for a bit then probably restart but will update tomorrow.

current stats. Roll = $5,346. Vpps = 1070. Fpps = 14,306.47

Everyone happy?

Didn't think so.

Anyone still awake?

Didn't think so.

Back to work

Well I've had a very relaxing 2 days off. Hardly done anything, went the pub Wednesday and got a bit merry which was good.

I've played the occasional multi whilst I've been off and had a 6th in a $13.50 knockout tourney. shoulda won it but KK lost to A6 for massive pot six handed. picked up $120 for it though so not bad for overtime.

Got back down to 50 50s this morning, just had a very quick set of 7x$100 and 4x$60.
Made $150 but don't feel I played especially well, noticed some guy from Vietnam constantly re-raising me but his stats are dire so I'm not overly concerned.

Been sports betting on my break, was going great on the spread betting, had turned a free £100 into £2,700 but things have gone a bit wrong over the last few days and I'm under £2,000 now so need a big England win against France to get me back on track.

Had a look at the two+two poker forums to read about some guy who I play against trying to play 12,000 games this month and make a profit. I told him he had no chance as he wasn't good enough and one of his mates went mental at me. Don't think I like it there but will pop in occasionally to try and find inside info on any of my regular opponents.

The grind will start in earnest today, I should be playing 250 games on days that I play so only being on 11 so far really isn't good enough. I also played a $30 hyper turbo sixpak cos was bored and won it when my QJ flopped quads vs AK sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!!

Will try and update regularly.

Tell your friends. this blog is awful

The start of something big?!

Ok, poker blog is coming back and this time I am gonna actually update this regularly. I know most people won't read it but at least it'll stop me spamming my friends on facebook with tales of every poker game.

I've recently turned pro and am getting used to the swings and the ups and downs.

I mostly play the 50 50 sngs on poker stars. I'm able to play 30 games at once now which enables me to rack up a lot of FPPs and VPPs which can then be exchanged for cash.

Next year I plan on going for supernova elite. Hard to explain this in laymen's terms but basically it's at least $120,000 just in bonuses alone but means playing at least 8 hours a day, 30 tables 5 days a week. It'll be a hard grind but should be worth it!

I'll also be playing multis as and when I can to try and pick up some big scores and I plan on updating this blog regularly with hopefully happy tales.

You'll all be able to share in the ups and downs of a professional poker player by following my blog, all I ask is that if I'm having a downswing please don't ridicule me and never say that poker is a game of luck because I get quite defensive about that!

September's results have been pretty fantastic, made about $9,000 profit plus $6,800 in bonuses so we're well on the way back to where we need to be but I figure I need a $25,000 roll for next years SNE roll so gonna be working very hard for the rest of the year to make sure I get there.

Couple of days off for now just to relax again after the efforts of the previous month.

Hope people enjoy my new blog!
