Frustration overload!

Strange couple of days since I last updated this.

Couple of final tables to report 4th 8th and 3rd in £20 multis, the 3rd was this afternoon and most frustrating as when we get down to 4 players BT think now is a good time to screw my internet up! I get back in with 3 of us left and me on 500 chips! oh well £150 for it and on top of my tax rebate makes that a pretty successful day. Just doubled in my latest £20 multi so we'll see if that needs any updates during this blog.

The main point of today's blog is a lesson - Don't get involved with big stacks that can cripple you!

At the casino last night for the £10 rebuy tourney. 103 runners, and I hear there's £5,000 in the prize pool, not bad, at all. I play solid as always in the rebuy period and get myself up to 9k at the end of it on my first £10, don't bother with the top up, as whats another 1000 chips.

Soon double up when I flop nut straight and a guy flops two pair, nice guy, felt sorry for him really, then make a great call on a guy who check raised me all in on a flop of J T 3, i'm holding queens and take him out! puts meon 26,000 with 40 players left, looking very strong really when I look down and see AK of clubs. I raise this up to 2k pre flop and it's called in 3 spots, the flop brings Jd 3d Ks so I have to bet at this and whack 8500 into it. The guy with a 24,000 stack re raises me all in, now I can fold here and still have a very playable stack but I call this bet, he's AQdd and rivers a flush for a 50,000 chip pot! if that diamond hadn't come I'd have been flying, but I didn't need to make that call as I had enough to keep playing and maybe get my hands on the £2k first prize. Instead I played blackjack all night which was also fun!

Back to the net and all's been going ok really, quite a profitable week, although I let that muppet strak loose on my account and he blew £63! If he sells his ears as scrap metal though hell get the money back!!

Right I'm going back to finish the 8:30 £20 multi, might hop in the 10k as well see how I feel!

First Poker at Jazzy Jon's world of poker!

Start off with basic introductions, I'm Jon Stitcher aka Jazzy Jon. I've been playing online poker for just over a year now with pretty good results, mainly playing £10/£20 tournaments or if I fancy a dabble in some cash games $.50/$1.

I've jumped on the Blogging band wagon, because I don't wanna feel left out and cos I think it's about time I started tracking my performance a bit better!

So..... We'll start with November 1st

Took it easy during the day, wasn't really in the mood for much playing except for some cash omaha games, with a bit of help from Sunday8pm I managed to leave the table $100 up but then blew $40 of that playing holdem when my flush lost to a house! But I'm not a cash player, I am shit at it, and I know that so I thought I'd get back on the tournament trail!

I'm having real problems with betfair at the moment, it keeps disconnecting me from tourneys and not re-connecting me to the games so I've been using my Will Hill account this week and this also stop my crazy stalker bugging me. So I signed up for the 10k, wasn't paying much attention until I realised I had 8k and was 3rd in chips.! This was my fatal flaw! I managed to call off 3000 chips and then lost another 3k with TT V AK all in pre flop and I soon crashed out in about 90th! A very very disappointing result.

Still, I was eliminated just in time for the NTX - I keep having last longer bets with Tiny in these so it was a relief when at the first break I knew I'd won my money back as fishy tiny was already out, my usual steady game had me sitting on about 4k at the break. Then no cards and missed flopped and I'm down to 2.5k. Once again the theif on my right goes after my BB, but with my 9-9 destroying his pair of ducks I'm up to 4.5k and I see big slick next hand. I know only one way to play this hand, LUMP IT ALL IN!! so I do this, get a call from 7-7, my King flops and it's game on. Then as usual I go card dead when we get to last 20, til I'm down to about 5k and struggling when BOOM my AA doubles through v 9-9 and it's game on. No real action on final table but I steal a bit and find myself in final 4 but in last place, my all in with AQ is called by KT, the Ten pops up on the turn! I wanna cry, but console myself with my £170 prize, although I managed to blow £25 of that in the CPC sat and that stupid tourney the 4k! why do I bother??

No abuse from Punterz and chums at all last night although a missed call at 3:30 this morning concerned me slightly but I'll leave crazy boy to it!
